6-2-11: 6:15pm: “Open House”
Feel free to come by and work on your projects in the company of experienced leather workers. 5pm-7:30pm.
6-4-11: 10am: Wet Forming Leather
I will show you how to wet form leather, and some useful tips on when and why this is a useful technique. This is a free class.
*6-9-11: 6:15pm: Belt Making
(Advanced class, basic leather craft knowledge needed)
Come in to learn how to make a belt from scratch, using tools like the strap cutter, safety beveler, strap end punch, and a few others. We will cover how to measure length and layout belt designs. There is a $30 fee for this class.
6-11-11: 10am: Tools Galore
See how a variety of leather crafting tools are used, cared for, and sharpened, this is a free class.
*6-16-11: 6:15pm: Basic Leather Carving
Learn to prepare and carve leather with the basic tools of leather carving. There is a $35 fee for the class. Wholesale Club Gold included.
6-18-11: 10am: Pixie Pouch
Bring the kids by and make a pixie pouch! There is a $9 fee for this class.
6-23-11: 6:15pm: Craft aid/Pattern Class
I will explain how to use craftaids and decipher how to make your leather projects look like your pattern/craft aid picture. This is a free class.
6-25-11: 10am: Lacing Leather
We will cover the whip stitch, and double loop lacing. This is a free class.
*6-30-11: 6:15pm: Sheath Making
(Advanced class, basic leather craft knowledge needed)
I will be teaching how to make knife sheaths from start to finish. We will layout patterns, install welts, finish the edges, the whole nine yards. There is a $10 fee for this class.
